Karl is a graduate of the University of Connecticut where he majored in Business Administration. He's a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and has a Master of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning. Karl is also a securities licensed registered representative with Series 7, 22, 63, and 65 licenses through LPL Financial and is licensed in Connecticut and several other states for life and health insurance.
Karl earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 1987 and must meet the CFP Board's ongoing competency requirements of continuing education and by adhering to the CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Financial Planning Practice Standards. CFP® certificants demonstrate to the public that they are individuals who have voluntarily agreed to meet high standards of professionalism in a changing financial world. As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), Karl has a thorough understanding of the fiduciary standard of care and how to use those processes to help individuals and families work toward their investment goals in a responsible and accountable manner. As a designee, he's also trained to evaluate the fiduciary practices of investment stewards such as 401(k) and defined benefit plan sponsors and those responsible for managing endowment and foundation assets.

Karl has been active in raising funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. For 14 years, he participated in the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge (PMC), a two-day bike-a-thon and the nation's most successful athletic fundraising event. Karl personally raised over $100,000 to help improve the lives of those suffering from cancer. He lives in Glastonbury with his wife Jeanne and when not advising clients, enjoys travel and many other diverse activities.
