SPG ADVISORS RECEIVE FIVE STAR WEALTH MANAGER AWARE FOR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

December 1, 2014 – Members of Summit Planning Group have earned the Five Star Wealth Manager Award by Five Star Professional for the fourth consecutive year. Brian V. Onofrio, CPA, AIF®, C. David Koncz, Karl J. Zirolli, CFP®, MS, AIF®, Jay W. Pinto, CFP® and Alison G. Gaffney, MBA, CRPC® are recipients of this year’s award. The Five Star Wealth Manager award is awarded to approximately 14% of award candidates and is featured in the December issue of Connecticut Magazine. Award candidates must satisfy 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria. These include being credentialed as an investment advisory representative or a registered investment advisor, actively employed in the industry for a minimum of five years, favorable regulatory and complaint history review and one and five-year client retention rates, among other. October 5, 2014 – Summit Planning Group supported Milford Boys & Girls Club by sponsoring their annual “Pumpkins on the Pier” event, a major fundraiser for the club which provides a safe, structured and positive environment for over 350 young people after school, during holidays and summer vacation. KARL ZIROLLI, CFP RIDES FOR PAN-MASS CHALLENGE

August 2-3, 2014 – For the 8th consecutive year, Karl rode in the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge (PMC).  The PMC is a two-day, 190 mile bike-a-thon across the state of Massachusetts and is the nation's most successful athletic fund raising event.  The mission of the PMC is to "raise money for life-saving research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through it's Jimmy Fund".  With the help of his generous supporters, Karl raised $11,000 bringing his 8-year total to $67,000.  Karl's team achieved a team record $58,981 with a total contribution to the PMC of $360,000 since 2006.

GAYELYNN MILLER JOINS SUMMIT PLANNING GROUP

June 15, 2014 – We are pleased to announce that Gayelynn (Lynn) Miller has joined our firm as Office Administrator / Client Services Coordinator. Lynn is responsible for managing the accounting and administrative office operations of both Summit locations. She will also be working with the advisors to prepare, open and maintain client accounts to ensure they receive exceptional service. Lynn’s 15 years of professional experience working as an office manager in the financial planning industry will be a tremendous asset to our firm.

JAY PINTO RAISES MONEY FOR CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION

May 19, 2014 – As part of the “Cohen Connection Team”, Jay Pinto raised money for and walked in the annual Great Strides, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s largest national fundraising event. This critical event, raises funds for cystic fibrosis research and drug development. Jay walks in honor of his close friend, Jeff Cohen who passed away at the age of 24.
